    Displays creative baking and decorating skills by personally performing tasks while leading the team in preparing quality pastries. Focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction, staying within budget, and training the team for better outcomes and standards. Ensures adherence to sanitation and food quality standards.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Education and Experience


    - High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related field.

    OR


    - 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related area.

    Leading Pastry Culinary Team


    - Uses interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and motivate others; ensures financial decision-making and honesty/integrity; supervises and manages day-to-day operations effectively.


    - Fosters trust, respect, and cooperation among team members; sets a positive example of desired behaviors; monitors and maintains employee productivity.


    - Leads shifts, prepares food items, supervises food preparation activities, and ensures compliance with policies and standards.

    Ensuring Culinary Standards and Responsibilities are Met


    - Develops new ideas, products, and artistic contributions; maintains food preparation and storage standards; enforces portion and waste controls.


    - Oversees pastry preparation, compliance, and quality control; cooks and presents food items according to standards.

    Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service


    - Goes above and beyond to satisfy customers and ensure their return; manages daily operations focusing on quality and exceeding customer expectations.


    - Improves service quality by understanding guest needs and providing guidance and coaching to employees; sets a positive guest relations example.

    Maintaining Culinary Goals


    - Achieves and exceeds performance, budget, and team goals; develops plans to prioritize work and accomplish goals efficiently.


    - Trains staff in safety procedures, manages supplies and inventories, and ensures compliance with policies.

    Supports Training and Development Activities


    - Ensures completion of disciplinary procedures and training in menu items and service; reviews staffing levels for optimal guest service.


    - Participates in property policies administration, supports hiring processes, and ensures fair treatment of employees.

    - Communicates effectively with supervisors and team members; analyzes information to solve problems efficiently.
